"Spider-Man 3" is off and flying, with record-setting opening-day ticket revenues in Asia on Tuesday. The film, which opens in the United States on Friday, topped the first-day grosses for Spideys 1 and 2 in both Japan and South Korea.It enjoyed the biggest opening-day ever for any film in Hong Kong and South Korea.
In Japan, the film's first day brought in an estimated $3.5 million. In South Korea the take was $3.
4 million.
Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man 3" stars Tobey Maguire as the comic-book superhero, with Kirsten Dunst as his enduring love, Mary Jane Watson.
