As if marking time in anticipation of the imminent opening of Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man 3," Friday's boxoffice proved unwelcoming to the weekend's newcomers. Paramount Pictures' release of DreamWorks' "Disturbia" topped the list on its way to becoming the No. 1 film for three weekends in a row.

According to the boxoffice tracking site boxofficemojo.com, the teen-oriented suspenser took in an estimated $3.3 million for the day, as it aims to cross the $50 million mark this weekend.

Buena Vista's "The Invisible," a PG-13 supernatural thriller that was also aimed at teen audiences, arrived in the second spot with an estimated $3 million.

That left Paramount's bow of the more adult-oriented thriller "Next," starring Nicholas Cage, debuting in a weak third position with an estimated $3 million.

Lionsgate's actioner "The Condemned," starring "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, bowed in eighth place with just an estimated $1.

3 million.
