The invitational is a show running through next July and featuring 33 Oregon artists, with one work to be purchased for a permanent collection. Theater camp at Corban Theater camp will take over Corban College's classrooms and performing arts center in Salem on July 16-28. This year's theme is "Experience the Wonder," and students will have two weeks of training in theater skills while increasing their appreciation of the arts.

Students receive instruction from experienced local Christian theatrical artisans and former college actors. A Saturday recital showcases each age group's original pieces. Participants will learn about pantomime, make-up, improvisation, character development, creative movement and singing.

The camp is open to fourth graders up to high school seniors. Track 1 is for fourth-sixth graders, Track 2 is for seventh-ninth graders and Track III is for 10th-12th-graders. Registration is $150.

A new exhibit of historical highlights from the Oregon State University Theatre is on display until Aug. 30 in the concourse of the Memorial Union on the OSU campus in Corvallis. The exhibit, "The University Theatre: 1895-2007," includes posters, costumes, properties, scenery, lighting instruments and photographs from the Oregon State University archives.

There also are photographs from outdoor Shakespeare productions from the 1920s. That tradition of outdoor Shakespeare performances will continue this year with "Much Ado about Nothing," which opens July 25 and will be performed in the quad of the Memorial Union. Costumes from past plays donated by the Department of Design and Human Environment will be part of the exhibit.

Brush Creek Players is presenting a teen/young adult production of Samuel Taylor's romantic comedy "Sabrina Fair." Linda Zellner directs the show opening Friday at Brush Creek Playhouse, 11535 Silverton Road NE. Movie versions of the play (with the title "Sabrina") were released in 1954 and 1995, the first starring Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart.

The story is set on Long Island in the 1950s and deals with the wealthy Larrabee family and Sabrina Fairchild, the daughter of the family chauffeur. After five years at culinary school in Paris, she has come home to find out what she really wants and becomes romantically involved with two Larrabee brothers. Shows will be at 8 p.

m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m.
