*Dina Lohan, the mother of Hollywood troublemaker Lindsay Lohan, may have been caught in a bold faced lie when she recently told Us Weekly that her daughter’s friends call her “the white Oprah.”
"I've read all these things, like, I said I'm the white Oprah. I've never said that in my entire life!
It's completely ridiculous," the hard-partying Mrs. Lohan told the magazine.
Needless to say, the New York Post’s Page Six tracked down the original quote, made to Star magazine.
Lohan told reporter David Caplan: "I love to talk. Lindsay [ Lohan]'s friends call me 'The White Oprah' because they all come to me with their problems." Caplan, who's since left the weekly for VH1, claims that he quoted Dina accurately.
In other pop starlet news, Jessica Simpson was pestered by a male African American groupie as she walked through a terminal at LAX Wednesday. In a posted on TMZ.com, the autograph-seeker in a white doo-rag yelled: "How do you feel about interracial relationships?
Can a n**** stand a chance?"
As Simpson approached the security checkpoint, the brother continued: "Once you go black, you never go back.”
