Now, don t get me wrong, I love movies. Especially old movies, but that s for another day. , going to the theater and spending upwards of 50 bucks for me and my brood to see a film is ludicrous.

Especially when we can wait a month or two and rent it for 1/10th that amount of money and watch it in our jammies. Must be all that Scotch/Irish blood, I guess. Squeaking purses aside, here are a few caveats: Sean Connery was definitely the ultimate Bond.

Roger Moore was definitely the worst Bond. Casting Judy Dench as M, after the previous M went on the spy network in the sky, was a stellar move. I liked the reduced dependence on gadgets alot (but was thankful he had a pocket defibrillator when he needed one - quite handy, yes), liked the cars, was surprised at the lack of bad language, some of the bad guys were convincing, the bleeding-eye-guy uber-villian was weak (in MHO), the love interest came across as a vampira sort (so thin, so pale - somebody cram a steak and a baked potato and a piece of pie down that girl for heaven s sake, before she evaporates before our eyes!

), the Texas Hold Em was an interesting twist - but I m not sure if I buy it s popularity outside the States, the script at times was icky ( You strip away all my armor. Whatever is left of me, it s yours. - Ick Ick Ick - Sean would never had said ) but the cinematography was outstanding.

When he was first announced as the new Bond, I was incurious. I felt bad for Pierce, thrown under the bus sooo soon. To me, Craig looked too blond, like a Russian double agent.

But now ..oooooo baby!

! His head shots do not do him justice. His eyes are as blue as mine.

He s not tall, but you never notice it because of his abundance of muscles. He is just flat out drop dead gorgeous, a little rough around the edges, with a Jack Bauerish flare. Fausta was right.

this is the Bond with the longest gun. Make of that what you may. The movie is getting rave reviews for the most part and doing well at the box office.

Now only time will tell if This Bond can keep it up. So to speak (hee) Now, don t get me wrong, I love movies.
