A Myrtle Tate Elementary School teacher is facing two counts of lewdness with a minor. The teacher was arrested May 17, but could now be out on bail.
According to the police report the teacher admitted to touching three girls inappropriately.
Two of them are his students now and one is a former student.
Fifty-one-year-old Don Kevin Smith is a music teacher at Myrtle Tate Elementary.
One of the alleged incidents happened on May 11.
A former student says while she was in his classroom visiting Smith, he hugged her from behind and touched her breast and stomach. She told her mother about the incident that day and her mother then reported it to school officials a few days later.
When police interviewed Smith, they say he admitted to touching the girl and even said he apologized to her for touching her inappropriately.
He then admitted to grabbing two other students breasts as well.
Police still aren t sure whether or not there may be other potential victims. But the investigation continues and they re waiting to see if anyone else comes forward.
