Jon Lovitz has made a lifelong commitment to the Laugh Factory.
Lovitz, 49, has signed a contract to appear at the Los Angeles club every Wednesday night for the rest of his life.
"Or, if he's in New York to do a movie or something, he can appear at the Laugh Factory there.
But he's committed to every Wednesday night," club owner Jamie Masada said.
"I could become the Don Ho of Los Angeles," Lovitz said. "God knows I've got enough Hawaiian shirts.
"
The Saturday Night Live alum also will write a Laugh Factory blog, giving advice to up-and-coming comedians.
A pink cocktail dress worn by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's was auctioned Wednesday for $192,000.
The sleeveless dress, worn for the scene in which Holly Golightly discovers her brother has died, sold to a private European buyer at Christie's sale of film and entertainment memorabilia.
Christie's expected a bid of $30,000.
The iconic black dress she also wore in the film sold for more than $800,000 last year in London.
Other items included Marilyn Monroe's script for Something's Got to Give, with the actress' handwritten notes, which sold for $19,200.
Pierce Brosnan and his wife, Keely, have donated $100,000 to help replace an unsafe playground at an elementary school on Kauai, Hawaii, where they own a home.
Repair, Remodel and Restore Hawaii's Public Schools, a non-profit group, donated $47,800 for the project.
Keely Brosnan was on the playground planning committee.
The new playground is to be dedicated Monday.
The group said it has awarded 317 grants totaling $9.3 million for school improvement projects since 2001.
The View must find someone to fill Rosie O'Donnell's seat, and the list of possible replacements is long. Roseanne Barr, Whoopi Goldberg, Bette Midler, former talk-show host Ricki Lake, comedians Kathy Griffin and Wanda Sykes, Oprah Winfrey's friend Gayle King, and actress Sherri Shepherd all would create buzz, but no contender is buzzier than Barr, who has said she wants the job.
