We don't normally come out and endorse just anyone for any sort of public office, be it a mayor, a president or, in the case of Hollywood, the host of our beloved "Price is Right". We here at Pine were just as devastated as you when long-time host Bob Barker retired. But we understood and could only hope for the best replacement, as that fantastic game show plays in the background of our morning meetings and Daily Pine ramblings.
So when word that it might be Rosie O'Donnell came across our wires, it'd be an understatement to say we were disappointed. Sure, we could turn the channel back to the news during that hour or, even better, turn the television off and turn on the radio. But, honestly, Plinko gets us excited and the Showcase Showdown?
It marks the change of the day from the rush of a morning to the relaxed diligence that comes with the afternoon, a transition we're not sure we could make without guessing how much that camper might cost. We don't want to turn that dial. We want to know what happens.
And with all that said, we happily support the idea of Drew Carey taking Barker's place as the new host of the "Price is Right".
