Lindsay Lohan's arrest on Saturday morning, and what seems to be another big drinking binge on Sunday night, were apparently enough to convince her to go back to rehab.
Lohan was on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs after a single car collision in Los Angeles on the weekend, and police found what they believed to be cocaine in the vehicle. Since the legal drinking age in California is 21, the 20-year-old singer/actress could face another charge.
Two New York newspapers ran photos of Lohan seemingly passed out in a friend's car on Monday after she had allegedly spent Sunday night barhopping with pals. The pictures depict the young star with her eyes closed, mouth hanging open and slumped in the front seat wearing a hooded sweatshirt. Another shot shows her kneeling on the pavement outside the car.
"Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day. Because this is a medical matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of Lindsay as well as the other patients receiving treatment at the facility."
Lohan spent time at the Wonderland Center rehab clinic early this year, and there are reports that this time she's checked into Promises, the Malibu, California facility where Britney Spears sought in February and March.
