Rehab: Lohan checks in, again

LINDSAY Lohan has checked into rehab for the second time in less than four months.
After a five days of heavy partying in which she was arrested for driving under the influence after crashing her car and running away from the scene, the wild-child actress was admitted to Malibu facility Promises two days ago.
Lindsay admitted herself to an intensive medical rehabilitation facility on Memorial Day (Tuesday Australian time), Lohan's publicist said in a statement today.

Because this is a medical matter, it is our hope that the press will appreciate the seriousness of the situation and respect the privacy of Lindsay as well as the other patients receiving treatment at the facility.
After Lohan's arrest over the weekend, police said they found a substance tentatively identified as a usable amount of cocaine in connection with the accident.
The former child star was with two other people in the vehicle when her $A242,000 Mercedes convertible struck a curb and shrub on Sunset Boulevard in California.

Two days later Lohan was caught staggering out of exclusive West Hollywood nightclub Teddy's at 4.30am and later passed out in her friend's car.
Police have declined to comment on Lohan's blood-alcohol level tested after her arrest following the car crash.

Investigators said the case will be presented to the District Attorney's Office where Lohan could face more charges, including felonies.
Her tentative arraignment date is August 24.
Lohan previously entered a treatment facility on January 17, with the Herbie Fully Loaded star voluntarily checking herself into the Wonderland Center in the Hollywood Hills for 30 days.

During her treatment she left the premises to continue filming her movie I Know Who Killed Me, which is due out later this year.
The Promises facility has had some famous patients of late, with both Britney Spears and actress Selma Blair undergoing treatment at the luxurious complex.
Plans for Lohan's 21st birthday party in July now also face uncertainty, with vodka company Svedka today cancelling plans to sponsor the star's Vegas bash.

Lindsay's estranged father Michael Lohan, who recently served time in jail for assault and drink-driving, earlier this week urged his daughter to turn to religion to help her overcome her problems.
Lindsay has to find hope in God and put her family first, not listen to what other people say, and listen to her heart, he said.
I believe the people my daughter is hanging around with are the wrong people.

This could be a blessing ndash; this could be the sign that gets her the help she needs.
Michael, 47, has not seen Lindsay since divorcing her manager mother Dina Lohan two years ago.
Maybe if Dina would tear down the wall of division in our family, maybe then we could come together and show Lindsay how both parents can help, he said
I hope Lindsay finally gets the help that she needs.

I want her to know that her Daddy is here for her.
