Tallahassee, Florida - This year's wildfire season could see a very active one in Florida.
The National Interagency Fire Center released a report today showing that the Southeast mdash; including all of Florida mdash; and the West can expect an increased wildfire risk.
Wildfires have already charred nearly 160-thousand acres across Florida this year and severe drought conditions are only expected to make the problem worse in the coming days.
Florida Agriculture Commissioner Charles Bronson says he's concerned the state is on track to match 1998 mdash; one of the worst wildfire seasons on record.
Bronson says some counties have banned all outdoor burning because of the severe drought conditions. He urges residents to take extra precautions when cooking outdoors.
