Sir Anthony Hopkins, the Academy Award-winning star of "The Silence of the Lambs," is scheduled to visit Seattle in May to attend a tribute in his honor at the Seattle International Film Festival. Hopkins will introduce "Slipstream," an experimental film which he wrote and directed, on May 29 at SIFF Cinema at McCaw Hall.
On May 30, he will be present for a special screening of the 1993 Merchant-Ivory film "The Remains of the Day" at the Egyptian.

Hopkins received an Oscar nomination for his role as a butler dealing with societal changes in 1930s England. The evening will include a presentation of clips from Hopkins' career, an onstage interview and presentation of a lifetime award, prior to the screening of the film.
Tickets for the Hopkins events and all festival screenings go on sale May 10 for SIFF members and May 13 for the general public.
