FORGET the Oscars. Forget the Baftas. For his performance in The Flying Scotsman, the actor Jonny Lee Miller received the one accolade he craved above all others: a handmade award from the man he plays in the movie, the Scottish former world cycling champion, Graeme Obree.
"Graeme fashioned me an award out of an old Star Wars toy and a block of wood," Lee Miller smiles at the memory. "He said it was for Outstanding Performance and he gave it to me in a car park in Ayr. It's a wonderful tribute, and it's now on my mantelpiece at home.
I was very touched." FORGET the Oscars.
