Football star David Beckham and his wife Victoria are considering launching their own reality TV show chronicling their new life in America, according to the latest reports. According to People Magazine, Fox network, which already hosts the country's most popular reality TV show American Idol , has offered the glamour couple a prime time spot for their own show. "At the moment neither David nor Victoria are majorly famous in the States, but starring in their own show on one of America's biggest channels would catapult them to instant stardom," a source told People.
The deal would also help Fox, which owns the broadcast rights for the US Soccer leagues MLS. This comes after two wax figures of the couple were imported from London to the Madame Tussauds wax museum in New York. Their appearance is meant to honor the real Beckhams' hotly anticipated move to the United States in the spring, the museum said.
David Beckham, known as Becks, and his pop star wife, known as Posh, announced earlier this month they would be moving to Los Angeles. He has signed a five-year contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team. David Beckham s deal is reportedly the greatest one in sports history with rumors placing his salary and endorsements at $250 million.
"After discussing several options with my family and advisers to either stay here at Madrid or join other major British and European clubs, I have decided to join the Los Angeles Galaxy and play in the MLS from August this year," the soccer star said in a statement earlier this year. The Beckhams plan of conquering America also includes the release of their best-selling perfumes in the US.
