IN A revelation that will warm the hearts of tongue-tied lotharios everywhere, Welsh actress Catherine Zeta-Jones has revealed the chat up line that actor Michael Douglas used to snare her. In an interview with US magazine due out this Sunday, Zeta-Jones, routinely voted one of the world's sexiest women, relates how Douglas wooed her with the some would say cheesy line, I want to father your children. Months later, we were dating, and I was already in love with him, she told the magazine.
But there was one thing I had to be sure of. I turned to him and said, 'Do you really want children?' And I thought, for that one minute, he was going to say, 'I already have a son, Cameron,' and I would have to say goodbye.
I remember saying defiantly, 'I cannot live without having children.' And he went, 'Me too'. Zeta-Jones, who at 37 is exactly 25 years younger than her husband, 62, married Douglas in 2000.
The couple now has two children. The actress, who won an Oscar in 2003 for the film said that she would carry on acting, despite her commitment to her family. I'm crazy in love with my husband.
I love my children and adore just watching them grow and change, she said, adding: I'll always work - acting is my passion.
