April 27, 2007 - David Duchovny has always put a positive spin on things when talking about the possibility of a second X-Files movie. When he last about a month ago, the actor was fairly optimistic that X-Files 2 would begin shooting in 2008. Producer-writer Frank Spotnitz has also that the film is finally going somewhere, and that a script is currently "in development.
" We know that creator Chris Carter has had meetings with Fox about the film as recently as last month, but The Wired Blog Network, however, has additional word from a Fox spokesperson, warning that it's too early to consider the next X-Files movie a done deal. While they confirmed a picture has been in development for some time, the project is not "anywhere near" the point of getting David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson to commit. X-Files 2 in 2008?

Green light for the future?
The sequel is still in development hell, however.
New films are in the works!
