Okay, I watched episode 12 Godsend of Heroes, and all I have to say is, wow! I m not going to give you any spoilers but I will tell you it begins two weeks from where it left off and you get to see how everyone ends up where they are in the present. Creator Tim Kring knows how to craft a story and the man writes hooks like no one I ve ever seen before.
Heroes, which has been picked up for another year, has achieved something the other serial dramas haven t. It has a payoff in almost every episode. You know, the idea behind the show was really about what happens to these characters and about their lives, I ve been waiting almost six months to tell you about The Dresden Files, which premieres Sunday, Jan.
21. Six months to tell you that actor Paul Blackthorne is the perfect fit for wizard Harry Dresden. For those of you who aren t familiar with Jim Butcher s Dresden books (Shame on you!
) here s the run down. Harry is a wizard living in Chicago just trying to be a regular guy. He works as a private detective and seems to always wind up with cases involving magic, usually the dark Did you guys happen to see the new reality series Grease: You re the One That I Want Sunday night?
It s the one where they are trying to find the perfect Danny and Sandy to star in a revival of Grease coming to Broadway this summer. Much like American Idol, the judges including Tony- Award winner Kathleen Marshall, Grease co-creator Jim Jacobs and theater producer David Ian, choose the best from candidates from all over America. But there s a big difference between singing pop tunes and being Happy New Year!

The web show was created by Sean Masterson and directed by Brian K. Roberts. You also want to check Before I leave on vacation (Hey, Boss Man, I m going to be gone for a few weeks.
) I feel it my TV Chick duty to tell you about some of the Christmas Specials/Movies coming up. I worry that while I m away one of you may stumble across the new version of The Year Without A Santa Claus and be frightened. You should be.
I can t imagine any kid under eight not being scared by the grumpy Santa (John Goodman) and the crazy elves. I couldn t figure out if Chris Kattan, who plays Sparky the ambitious elf, was mean or just insane. Though he is the funniest thing in the whole movie.
Delta Still on the road and it s a crazy trip. I missed my new favorite night of television this past Thursday. ABC s all chicks, all the time night with Ugly Betty, Grey s Anatomy and Men in Trees.
It s the absolute perfect night of television for me, and I pray the TIVO/DVR worked for once. To be honest, I usually like more male-oriented shows like Heroes (Though just as many women like that one.) But there s something hopeful about Thursdays on ABC.
Sure there s a lot of drama and who is sleeping with who on Greys and Trees But the I m on the road this week, so this is short and sweet. You guys know how much I love Heroes. This week they are doing a big flashback episode where we see Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) just out of nursing school.
Claire (Hayden Panettiere) has just joined the cheerleading squad and Mohinder s (Sendhil Ramamurthy) dad is still alive. So how can a flashback move a story forward? Executive producer Tim Kring says, You will discover things about the characters as we go along and in the end it will all make sense.
As we build toward the end of this story you learn more about what makes these people tick and how they became I d planned to take the week off for the holiday, but couldn t resist talking about some of my new and old holiday faves, especially the one-of-a-kind Tony Bennett special. I ve always had a thing for Tony Bennett, and I was so happy when I found out he wanted to celebrate his 80th birthday with me. Well, actually he wants to celebrate with all of us.
His new special, directed by Rob Marshall ( Chicago ) is a celebration of Bennett s music and There are some interesting series debuting this week and some returning shows to talk about. I m sure you ve seen the ads for Day Break starring Taye Diggs on ABC. Detective Brett Hopper (Diggs) is having a really bad day and unfortunately he s living it over and over again.
The first day he wakes up and discovers he s been accused of killing Assistant District Attorney Alberto Garza. Hopper has a solid alibi, but no one believes him. When his alibi winds up dead, the real trouble begins.
This guy is being pushed to his limit, Diggs says. I ve been unfaithful and I feel the need to confess. I want you to know how difficult it is to say the following, but I must.
I simply must. I ve been cheating. It began as a once-in-a-while thing, but now, well.
It s serious and the guilt is overwhelming. It began one Tuesday night when I was out. I set my DVR to record Gilmore Girls and Veronica Mars, two of the best-written shows in prime time, and I meant to set the office machine to tape House.
But I forgot.
