POINT PLEASANT BEACH -- Jane Carberry Davies died peacefully at home, surrounded by her large and loving family, on Wednesday, May 23, 2007. She was 80. She received her nursing degree from the College of Mount St.

Vincent in 1948, but it was in raising her 10 children and practicing random acts of kindness that she found her true calling. Her spirit shines on in the countless people she touched with her radiant kindness and gentle humor; and most especially in her husband of 57 years, Rowland T. Davies; her twin sister, Elizabeth "Beppie" Shalvoy of Kearney, her children and their spouses, Mary and Michael Murphy of Beaufort, S.

C., Kate Davies of Washington, D.C.

, Anne and George Murphy of Portsmouth, R.I., Ted and Jean Davies of Brick, Sue and Dr.

Michael Warner of Point Pleasant Beach, Dan and Janet Davies of Wall, Brian Davies of Farmingdale, Martin and Elizabeth Davies of Point Pleasant, Amy and Paul Struncius of Point Pleasant Beach, and Sean Davies of Wall; her 16 grandchildren, Meghan Conley, Michael Murphy, Flannery Fitzgerald, Dan, Kevin and Conor Murphy, Tim, Tara and Katie Warner, Colleen and Kelly Davies, Dylan and Casey Davies, Sarah Jane Lockenmeyer, and Sean and Taylor Struncius; and her two great-grandchildren, Katie and Patrick Conley. Friends may gather from 4-7 p.m.

on Sunday, May 27 at Van Hise and Callagan Funeral Home, Arnold Avenue, Point Pleasant Beach. A Mass will be offered at St. Peter's R.

C. Church in Point Pleasant Beach on Monday, May 28 at 9 a.m.
