Former sitcom partners Susan Sullivan and Jenna Elfman team up again when they guest star on Seven's family drama Brothers And Sisters tomorrow night. Sullivan played Elfman's snooty mother-in-law on Dharma And Greg a decade ago but now they're playing a mother and daughter involved in a neighbourhood dispute. Tomorrow's episode pits them against regulars Sally Field and Calista Flockhart, who play matriarch Nora Walker and her daughter Kitty on the show.
Elfman is pregnant in the episode because she really is expecting a baby. Adios to Alias THE fifth and final series of Alias, which finally makes it on to Seven tonight, owes more than a few nods to Brothers And Sisters. It features B S cast members Ron Rifkin, Balthazar Getty and Patricia Wettig, as well as sharing its executive producer Ken Olin.
In real life, Olin is married to Wettig (who is also in Prison Break). As the couple first became famous working together on thirtysomething, how about Seven goes full circle and brings back those whining yuppies from the '80s? AUSSIE Alan Dale has just had an offer too good to refuse during a production break from his role as the conniving Bradford Meade on Ugly Betty.
Dale is jetting off to New Mexico to film a secret role in the new Indiana Jones movie, alongside Harrison Ford and fellow Aussie Cate Blanchett. IDOL'S John Foreman is to host a Big Night In to top all others. Ten will tape a special with Burt Bacharach in concert at Sydney's State Theatre, with several Aussie artists - still to be announced - singing his songs backed by a30-piece orchestra.
NOW that's sorry timing: The Catch-Up was axed in the same week that the show it was based on, The View, had its biggest moment ever, when host Barbara Walters got an exclusive call from ParisHilton in jail. Looks like the US chat show will continue to be a magnet for controversy, even without Rosie O'Donnell. Whoopi Goldberg is emerging as the frontrunner to replace her, but Insider would prefer Roseanne or Kathy Griffin.
Maybe Nine should try to steal The View from Foxtel. McLeod's on ball McLeod's Daughters' Zoe Naylor is popping up a lot as roving reporter on The NRL Footy Show now that her character, Grace, has left the show. Just quietly though, it probably isn't the last we've seen of Naylor on the rural drama.
You can find out more about this week's McLeod's wedding in today's The Sunday Telegraph TV Guide. US nudes up BB LAST year's turkey slap'' incident spelled the end ofTen's naughty Big Brother: Adults Only. Ironically, Americans are about to see nude housemates for the first time when Big Brother: After Dark airs from midnight till 3am on cable.
FOUR actors are being dropped from Boston Legal next season. Julie Bowen (Denise) Mark Valley (Brad), Rene Auberjonois (Paul) and Constance Zimmer (Claire) are all out but joining the show as a new character will be John Laroquette, who won an Emmy on David E.
