The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe Michelle Pfeiffer turned down the role of the White Witch - she was reportedly the only major Hollywood star to be offered the role.

Tilda Swinton took up the role. Ryan Phillippe was considered for Heath Ledger's role. Daryl Hannah turned down the role of Vivian because she felt it was denigrating to women.
