The German-born Forster will direct the untitled 22nd Bond film from a script he and Oscar-winning screenwriter Paul Haggis will develop from a draft by previous Bond collaborators Neil Purvis and Robert Wade. As previously announced, actor Daniel Craig, who made his debut as the super spy in , will return with a license to kill in the upcoming movie, slated for release in November 2008.
Haggis, Purvis and Wade also shared screenwriting credits on , which grossed nearly $US600 million at worldwide box offices to rank as the most successful film in the storied movie franchise based on the books by British spy novelist Ian Fleming.
