Capone in Chicago here with a last-minute screening opportunity/contest for all of you Chicago-area readers. The film is called YOU KILL ME, and it's a triumphant return to noir-ish form for director John Dahl, who has given us some great works in the last 20 years. KILL ME AGAIN, RED ROCK WEST, and THE LAST SEDUCTION were stellar new noir efforts from Dahl that really made me rethink film noir in modern terms.

I also liked a couple of his follow-up efforts, like ROUNDERS and JOY RIDE. Hell, some people even enjoyed his 2005 release THE GREAT RAID (I was not one of those people). I have 50 passes (good for two people each) to a screening this Wednesday (June 6) of YOU KILL ME, starring Ben Kingsley in his best role since SEXY BEAST, Dennis Farina, Philip Baker Hall, Bill Pullman, Luke Wilson (in one of the better parts I've seen him in lately), and Tea Leoni putting forth her best acting job since FLIRTING WITH DISASTER.

As a bonus, director John Dahl will do a post-screening Q A that I'm guessing will be pretty cool. The man likes tales of the criminal underworld, con artists, and killers, and he's never shied away from a little violence now and then. YOU KILL ME has quite a bit.

The film doesn't open until June 22 in most major markets, so you're getting quite a jump on the release date. And this is one of those films you're going to be begging people to go see in the days leading up to its release. TO WIN: Send me an e-mail at capone@aintitcoolmail.

com with the name of your favorite film noir movie (new or old). The best 50 titles I receive each win the passes for two. Feel free to argue your case.

In your entry, I also need you to give me your full name and the full name of your guest. Deadline for the contest is 11:59 pm Tuesday night. Capone in Chicago here with a last-minute screening opportunity/contest for all of you Chicago-area readers.
