performers - Michael Keaton, Brendan Fraser and Amber Valletta - get down in While his cast is first-rate, director-writer Michael Caleo doesn't know quite what his movie is about. Fraser's character is an apparently inept salesman, Valletta is his fianc e and both are in thrall to Keaton's Ted, a killer of a deal-closer but a man who's philosophy says the more miserable you are, the Keaton and Fraser sell is merely some widget, because it's nature doesn't matter). But there are elements here, too, of romantic comedy, existential philosophizing and, ultimately, a twisted view of American corporate culture that's inseparable from personal character.
