Friday April 20, 04:18 PM London, April 20 (ANI): After making a mark in his acting career, the Lord of the Rings trilogy star Elijah Wood is now planning to produce a film.
According to reports, Wood will produce a movie based on 1953 noir novel Black Wings Has My Angel , written by Elliott Chaze.
The film will tell the tale of an ex-convict who stages an armed robbery with the help of a call-girl.
Wood is very excited about producing the movie, though he says that he will not star in it.
It s the material. I ve always been intrigued by noir novels and noir films.
I love that style, BBC quoted him as telling the Hollywood Reporter.
And to unearth something from that era that hasn t been made into a film or is not a remake is really exciting. It s a lost classic, he added.
The next project to feature Wood on screen will be a drama, Day Zero, which is scheduled for a world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York this month.
Wood has just completed the shooting for crime thriller The Oxford Murders in London.
