Yes, Google s dominance extends beyond the desktop. Today, market research firm M:Metrics unveiled its latest rankings of the most popular mobile web destinations in the U.S.

Reaching nearly twice as many users as its nearest competitor, Google s dominance on in the U.S. mobile market mirrors its supremacy in the lucrative desktop search market.

According to research firm Hitwise.com, Google handles 65.13 per cent of all U.

S. web searches, followed by Yahoo! at 20.
