Transit Gets Underway with New Faces

) is directing the adaptation of Carsten Stroud's novel of the same name for Capitol Films. About a shipping company owner who tries to get his junkie son freed from prison, the film will star Laurence Fishburne and Brittany Snow. Karl Urban has also been cast.

Matthew Chapman wrote the screenplay. The film is being produced by Robert Katz. Willis and former producing partner Arnold Rifkin had been developing the project under their Cheyenne banner, which was based at Revolution.

Music video helmer Samuel Bayer was slated to direct Willis two years ago. Vin Diesel and Samuel L. Jackson had been mentioned as potential stars after Willis moved on.
