Apparently, the budget was too expensive for producers, who at one point even thought about finding a Los Angeles location to sub for Africa.

Promoting the importance of a positive male figure in the development of young girls, Williams read her personal essay about the great life lesson’s her father taught her as a child. Her full essay can be read in the upcoming book “Daughters of Men: Portraits of African American Women and Their Fathers” (Amistad/HarperCollins), in bookstores November, 2007. Other essays in the book are from Beyonce Knowles, Sanaa Lathan, Cathy Hughes and more.
*Christina Milian has been cast in ABC Family’s “Snowglobe,” a film that will be part of the cable channel's 25 Days of Christmas programming, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film stars Milian as a woman who magically transports herself from the humdrum real world into the idyllic setting in her gradmother's snow globe, where she meets her love interest, played by "Scream 3's" Matt Keesler. Production will begin at the end of the month in Calgary, Canada.
