"TEN CANOES" (NR): A thousand years ago in tribal times in the north of Australia, Dayindi (Jamie Gulpilil, son of actor/narrator David Gulpilil) covets one of the wives of his older brother. The film is shot entirely in Aboriginal language. "VITUS" (PG): Vitus (played by real-life prodigy Teo Gheorghiu) is a boy who almost seems to be from another planet: He has hearing like a bat, he plays piano like a virtuoso and studies encyclopedias at the age of 5. It is no wonder his parents begin to anticipate a brilliant future for him.
