Its enough that a "Sex and the City" movie is happening - why? what's the point? where can it go?

is there a big screen story in there? - I'm dumbfounded why New Line Cinema has decided to bankroll and distribute it. The same troupe that gave us "The Lord of The Rings" series - and before that, the "Elm Street" series - is confident fans of the HBO series will pay to see the oversexed socialites at theatres.

Can't say I am. The "X-Files" movie I understand, there's storyline possibilities galore there, but a "Sex and the City" movie? Not the best of ideas.

The film starts shooting in the Fall with the original cast. Karvan is female lead in Spierig Bros' new vampire flick with Ethan Hawke..
