The general managers and team presidents of all nine minor-league baseball franchises in North Carolina are urging Connecticut-based Time Warner Cable to add the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN) to its basic cable programming. The executives said millions of Carolina baseball fans can't watch a Major League Baseball network because of the cable company's blackout. "The availability of a Major League Baseball network on television is essential to the continued health of our franchises," wrote executives of the nine teams in a joint letter.

The network owns television rights to the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals in this region.
