Last week it was Alec Baldwin trying to explain himself. This week it's David Hasselhoff, and he has chosen to relay his message through Ryan Seacrest of E! News.
The program can be seen at 7 and 11 tonight.
The release of a videotape of Hasselhoff in a drunken state on the floor was all a mistake, the actor says. Daughter Taylor, who is 16, shot the footage at a Las Vegas hotel and intended to erase it.
Hasselhoff, an alcoholic, had given his children permission to tape him if he fell off the wagon.
It's really sad and really affecting my children, Hasselhoff says. He is appearing in Las Vegas in the musical The Producers.
He also will return as a judge on America's Got Talent on NBC. The series will be back May 29.
Who's responsible for the tape's release?
Hasselhoff blames his ex-wife, Pamela Bach. (Sounds familiar after the Baldwin-Kim Basinger saga.)
The E!
release contains this unusual nugget: In regards to his case with Bach, he claims attorneys are not helping him and because of that, he is going to hire an exorcist for guidance.
