Don't hassle the Hoff, especially when he's drunk. In a shockingly embarrassing video that made the rounds on May 3's entertainment TV shows, David Hasselhoff appears so intoxicated, he is unable to feed himself a hamburger.
The video was reportedly shot by his 16-year-old daughter, Taylor Ann, in a Las Vegas hotel room and features a shirtless, drooling Hoff attempting to eat room service while splayed out on the floor.
"Dad, look what this is doing to you," Taylor Ann is heard saying. "You have to stop drinking alcohol, promise me you won't drink anymore. The doctor is coming over here in the morning to check your alcohol level.
If you have any alcohol in your system, you are going to be fired from the show." (Hasselhoff is currently starring in the Vegas version of The Producers.)
When pressed by his daughter to explain why he's fallen off the wagon, the Hoff slurs, "'Cause, I'm lonely.
I have trouble in my life."
"You have me," Taylor Ann responds, to which Hasselhoff says, "I don't have you in my life. Bullshit, I don't have you .
.. I don't have you.
"
In a statement released yesterday, the former Baywatch beefcake says he asked his daughters to videotape him if he ever fell off the wagon so he'd know what he was doing to himself.
"I am a recovering alcoholic," Hasselhoff says in the statement. "Despite [the fact] that I have been going through a painful divorce and I have recently been separated from my children due to my work, I have been successfully dealing with my issue.
Unfortunately, one evening I did have a brief relapse, but part of recovery is relapse. "Because of my honest and positive relationship with my daughters, who were concerned for my well being, there was a tape made that night to show me what I was like," the statement continues. "I have seen the tape.
I have learned from it and I am back on my game. I thank God for the love and concern from my daughters. The tape was never meant to become public, but appears to have been obtained and released by my ex-wife.
I hope that someone else will learn from the tape, as I have.
