During its official press conference at the E3 Business Media Summit in Santa Monica, Sony Computer Entertainment has confirmed it will be launching a new, slimmed down and lightweight version of its existing PlayStation Portable handheld videogame console. The revamped PlayStation Portable (PSP) will be introduced to retail in September of this year as Sony continues its drive to attract gaming and media consumers toward its high-tech handheld rather than that of the clamshell DS Lite, which is produced by market rival Nintendo Co. .. but when you have it in your hand, the difference becomes quite clear," outlined Sony Computer Entertainment boss Kaz Hirai to gathered E3 attendees.
"It's actually 33 percent lighter than the current PSP.
