The oldest candidate is Britain's Stonehenge; the newest is Australia's Sydney Opera House. Statue of Liberty also is among the choices.
Voting has nearly doubled since those June results, when organizers said about 50 million votes had been cast. A single user can cast multiple votes. To be considered for the competition, all structures had to be built or discovered before 2000.
