Bollywood actors have been donning the director’s cap ever so often, some have in fact given great cinema, while others, well, we had rather that they go back to acting. But there is a whole new lot of filmy heroes who are raring to go with their directorial ventures. First up, being Aamir Khan, who is often accused of shadow-directing his films.
Now, Aamir has asked Amol Gupte to pack his bags and took over as his own baby instead. “I am not the kind of man who can produce or direct a film a year, but is such a script that I wanted to make this film myself,” says Aamir. In fact, even South Indian star Madhavan is all set to direct a Hindi-Tamil bilingual flick by 2008, just like his debut flick Bollywood actors have been donning the director’s cap ever so often, some have in fact given great cinema, while others, well, we had rather that they go back to acting.
