Famed for his action flicks like Arjun, Dacait and Arjun Pandit, Rahul Rawail is taking a stab at black comedy in his next offering, Buddha Mar Gaya.
"The film stars Paresh Rawal, Om Puri, Anupam Kher, Mukesh Tiwari and Ranvir Shorey. There is no conventional hero and heroine in the film, but there are many good actors and new people," Rahul told IndiaFM.

So what is the film about?
"My film is inspired by real life incidents as are the characters. The script is written by Raju Saigal and Hamill Shivkumaran.

Anupam plays a character that dies and the story follows what happens after his death. I think it is nice to tackle a black comedy," he explained.
On whether the film shares any similarities with Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron, he said: "Well, I don't know whether there is any similarity, you need to watch the film for that .

The storyline just appealed me when I read it. I don't know how people will react to it."
While the film has no romantic angle, Rakhi Sawant has been signed on for an item number.

"I saw Rakhi in Big Boss and thought there is something very frank about this girl. I told her that I wanted her to be herself for the item scene because I wanted to show the same girl I saw in Big Boss and she did it."
While most critics are stunned to see Rahul's all-time favourite actor Sunny Deol hasn't been cast, he defended his decision, saying, "The story didn't have any character for Sunny.
