Abhishek-Aishwarya in London, headed home 13 May 2007 (Sawf News) - Abhishek and Aishwarya were recently spotted in London following their honeymoon in French Polynesia. The couple attended two Chelsea games at Stamford Bridge seated in the private box of club owner Roman Abramovich as his special guests.

"Roman gave Aishwarya and her husband Abhishek Bachchan full use of his own box while he was out of the country, and really pulled out the stops," says a Daily Mail spy. "He put on lots of Indian food, followed by a cheese course, and organized for them to receive a sterling silver pen and signed football shirt." Abramovich, a Russian oil billionaire and the main owner of private investment company Millhouse Capital, considered his gesture a perfect wedding gift for the couple.

According to the Mumbai Mirror, Abhishek and Aishwarya have shelved plans to travel to Cannes for the 60th Annual Cannes Film Festival, scheduled to be held from May 16 to 28, 2007. The couple had planned to visit Cannes to promote UTV's Jodha Akbar, along with director Ashutosh Gowarikar and Hrithik Roshan. The presence of Amitabh Bachchan there, on his first ever appearance at the festival to promote his films - Cheeni Kum and Eklavya, would have given the Bachchan brand good international exposure.

However, Ashutosh Gowarikar, already concerned about the delay in the filming of Jodha Akbar caused by the Abhishek - Aishwarya nuptials and honeymoon, is wary the monsoons could wreak havoc on the expensive sets for the film erected at Nitin Desai Studios in Karjat. He prefers to complete the film rather than promote it. As a result there is going to be no Cannes for Aishwarya this year and no brandishing of the Bachchan brand!
