Usually on Myspace I get friend requests from some chick named "Michelle" and its just a front for some kind of porn site or something. But today a little indie horror flick titled Growing Out sent me one. I have to say first impression was that they had a pretty well thought out way of presenting there movie.
They did all the things an indie film should do. Have a website besides Myspace, have an ample amount of stills and some kick ass teaser art work. But most importantly is the product.
The trailer is freakishly bad ass. Its a kind of a mash up of a lot of things and the trailer gives you that kind of creepiness that always makes for a good time. an out of work songwriter Tom, cleaning up an old house in exchange for free room and board seems like a deal, but he is about to get more than he bargained for.
What Tom discovers growing out of the basement floor is terribly unsettling - a human hand, which quickly develops an arm, a head, and a personality of its own. Complicating matters further Tom finds himself falling in love with his neighbor Philip's beautiful ladyfriend Veronica. Too bad Philip isn't much for sharing The feature will be having its premiere screening on Saturday, August 4th in Beverly Hills at the Fine Arts Theatre.
