However, this is just the beginning says THQ, as the company plans to hit booth the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with another Conan game. While the news might sound great for Conan fans, THQ has been quite tight lipped on the subject. This far, we only know that the new game (which has yet to be named) is being developed by Nihilistic Software, the developer of Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption.
The press release continues in the same cryptic tone:
Conan is an action adventure video game featuring a story of epic brutality, sheer evil and visceral combat. Players will follow the journey of Conan the Cimmerian as he fights a vicious battle against a variety of enemies and an elusive power that threatens to consume the Hyborian world. Playing as Conan, players will take advantage of a deep and gratifying combat system that offers a variety of deadly weapons, fighting styles and interactive environments to battle hordes of enemies.
In other words, you are the hero, you have weapons and you must fight the enemy, no matter who is that enemy, Our guess is that almost everybody will be the enemy. After all, Conan is a man of few words and many punches.
More information on the game is bound to come up later this year, as the game is scheduled to be released in early 2008.
