I still have not been able to locate any of those illusive exhibitor passes. Anybody out there have an extra pass I can use?
It is fun to see what products were introduced at the CES, many of which are common consumer items now.
We've come a long way from Dick Tracy's 2-way wrist radio being an object of science fiction! I used to watch all those old James Bond movies ( which were shown marathon style on one of the cable channels yesterday ) -- of course, I liked the action, the beautiful women, and all those neat gadgets (not necessariily in that order!).
Not unlike the reasons why I like the CES!
History
The first CES took place in New York City in June of 1967 with 200 exhibitors and 17,500 attendees. Since then, CES has grown more than eleven-fold.
Nearly 2,700 exhibitors, filling 1.6 million net square feet of exhibit space, showcased their latest products and services to more than 140,000 attendees at the 2006 International CES.

I'm not out to impress anybody and am frequently guilty of substituting humor for substance. I like feedback and interaction with people. I am a retired computer analyst and enjoy techy stuff, but I'm not an expert, so I probably can't answer your technical questions.
I also like "fringe" subjects like they talk about on Coast-To-Coast AM, and spirituality, religion, and meditation subjects. I am a survivor of the Nevada Test Site, the Cold War, and a few episodes of Major Depression, but I'm OK now, really I am!
