Holy Shit! I have been waiting to write this entry until I can wrap my mind around what happened. I'll do my best to make sense of it all.

Locke is alive! I'm so glad he didn't die. He wakes up and find a gun in the pit, and amazingly it has ammo.

As he was about to shoot himself in the head Walt appears. It obviously was an island apparition, Walt wasn't actually there. But why did the island choose Walt?

Is this how he is "special"? If they do bring him back they are definitely going to have to explain how he has grown so much. He's quite a bit taller and his voice is changing.

He is now 14, (when we last saw him he was 13) but the character is still 10.

Charlie was awesome this episode. I loved the cockiness.

Charlie is tied to a chair and getting the shit beat out of him for information, which he only gives a few almost irrelevant answers. Why he told them about Juliet giving them information about the Looking Glass I don't know. They crafted this plot so well, making it seem like Charlie wouldn't have to die.

And even when Mikhail and Desmond comes down it still seems like he wouldn't have to die. With this plot brought us 4 deaths. Bonnie and Greta (who we learn, the Others were told they were on a mission to Canada) both bite the dust.

Somebody in this plot line mentions that de-activation of the jammer will destroy everything they've been trying to do. What is that exactly? Mikhail I believe is actually dead this time, despite him not dying before and taking a harpoon in the chest and still living I don't think the survived the grenade explosion since he was still holding the grenade in his hand when it went off.

We also see Mikhail without his patch and it looks like his eye was sealed shut. So if a glass eye can't go in, was this his glass eye in the Arrow? Or is it someone else's.

Which lead to Charlie's drowning that Desmond prophesied about. But before he sacrifices himself he gets the jammer turned off and Penny eventually pops up on the screen. Unfortunately Desmond didn't get a chance to speak to Penny himself, but Penny told Charlie that Naomi was a big fat liar and that it wasn't Penny's boat off the coast of the island.

Then whose is it? Was Ben actually telling the truth for once?!

Charlie being the hero he is, the last act before he died was closing the door to the room, and write that it wasn't Penny's boat on his hand and pass it on by pressing it against the door window. Goodbye Charlie, I'm sure someone will miss you greatly. I however will only miss you a little.

The plan to ambush the Others went fairly well, only Jin missed his shot, so instead of everyone dying, only 8 were kills, because luckily Jin was able to shoot a couple of them. It left only 3 people alive, including Tom. The three surviving Others were able to capture Jin, Sayid and Bernard and hold them hostage.

Tom gets on the horn with Ben and Ben was able to collect information from Bernard though threatening Jin's life as to the whereabouts of the rest of the survivors. Later we are led to believe that they killed them all, but Tom evidentially isn't as much of a lapdog as we though, because they shot the sand instead of our survivors. Sawyer and Juliet decide to go back to the beach and help once they realized the trio should have caught up with them by that point.

Hurley wants to come along and Sawyer tells him he'll get in the way because he's fat. Poor Hurley! Maybe this will give his character more motivation to loose weight.

Sawyer and Juliet arrive at the beach and are accessing the situation when Hurley bust though in the Dharma van and runs over on of the Others. This provides a distraction in which Sayid can snap the neck of one of them and they force Tom to surrender. Sawyer shoots him anyways saying "This is for taking the kid off the raft.

" Hurley then gets on the walkie and tells Jack that all the others are dead, and he saved everyone, including the trio.

Everyone makes their way to the tower and they see only 2 pillars of smoke coming from the beach and are concerned that it didn't go well. Jack made everyone press forward anyways.

When they stop and get a drink Kate approaches Sawyer about going back to the beach to help out. Sawyer is very dodgy and doesn't care. He seems to be pissed at Kate, but I can't think of why.

Sawyer later decides to go back without Kate. Would those 2 just grow up? Jack thinks it's because Sawyer wanted to keep Kate safe.

Juliet goes with Sawyer after kissing Jack. Later Jack admits to her that he loves her, and Kate just gives him an odd look. Good god Kate, pull your head out of your ass!

During all this Ben learns of where they are headed via Bernard and goes with Alex in intercept them. He tells Richard to take everyone to the temple. What is the temple?

Where is it? When the group arrives about a mile from the tower Ben and Alex are waiting for them and Jack and Ben go and have a talk. Ben tells him that Naomi isn't who she says she is and if they call the boat everyone on the island will die.

At first I didn't believe Ben but with the information from Penny that Charlie got, I now think that Ben was telling the truth (for once). Ben gives Jack an ultimatum of either bringing Ben the phone or the trio on the beach dies. We hear gunshots over the radio and Jack attacks Ben and beats the shit out of his face.

He then gets on the walkie and tells Tom that once he gets his people rescued he's going to come kill him. Jack then forces Ben back to the group and tells everyone to tie him up and wanders off. Finally we get the mother daughter reunion of Danielle and Alex as Ben introduces them.

There is a somewhat touching moment of them meeting, then Danielle gets back to business and asks Alex if she wants to help tie him up. Naomi discovers that Charlie did his part and the phone is unjammed. They continue to the tower with Ben in tow and deactivate the recording.

How the survivors never saw it was that it was a rather short tower. Naomi goes outside and dials her boat, and when it starts to ring falls over dead due to a knife in her back revealing Locke standing behind her with a gun pointed at Jack. Locke tells Jack that he can't let him call the boat, that Jack isn't supposed to call the boat.

Jack ignores him despite Locke's death threats and gets on the phone. Locke walks away (nice resolve there John) and Jack talks to a guy named Minkowski and someone will be coming to the island immediately. Thus ends the island storylines for the season!

Well we are left with the question of who really was Naomi? Who are these people on the boat? What's going to happen when they get to the island?

ARG!!!

This is the part of the episode that has had my head swirling. I don't know what to think of it. So it all turned out to be a flash-forward?

! They did a great job making everyone think it was an actual flashback (except for those naughty people who got into the spoilers). So much for all the purgatory theorists out there.

Jack was really messed up. Then again I would be too after everything (that we know about at this point) on the island. And having nothing to come back to.

There were a lot of questions left after this adventure. Like who died?!

Jack said he was neither family nor friend. Since he called Kate about it twice it must be someone from the island, but I can't think of who it could be. A good screen capture revealed part of the name: Jo.

.. .

..antham of New York.

I can't think of anyone from the island that was from New York with that sort of name. Any ideas?!

Also when Jack was talking to the new chief of surgery he says "Call my dad down here, if I am more drunk than he is, you can fire me." So is Christian alive? Is Jack just in denial?

Was he just really drunk and doped up? Was he just demonstrating that he was "tormented" because of his dad being dead?
The biggest thing was the reveal that it was a flash forward.

It took a few minutes for it to sink in that this wasn't before the crash when Kate showed up. Jack confesses that he's been using the free tickets that Oceanic gave everyone every weekend hoping the plane would crash. At first I thought he was just being suicidal but then I realized he wanted to crash so he could go back to the island.

He says that he is bored, tired of lying and wishes he could go back, and several times how they shouldn't have left. Kate says she has to go "he" will be wondering where she has been. Jack just keeps saying that they shouldn't have left.

The scene before this where he is in his apartment with a bunch of maps makes a whole lot more sense now, he was trying to locate the island. So who is this "he"? Sawyer?

What happens that makes Jack so crazy to get back? Is he just having trouble adjusting to be in the real world? Or did something happen?

Why do they have to lie? Why weren't they supposed to leave?!

WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!?

!?!

9 more months before a new episode, this is going to be torture! I think I'm already having withdrawal.
This ends the TV season for me.

I will keep updating on any news I come across, and DVD release dates when I get them (look for that next week sometime). Also I plan on doing a 2 part feature on why I chose to name this blog "Television Is the New Movies." Have a great summer everyone!
