Console Games
recently had a sit-down with NanaOn-Sha's Masaya Matsuura, who revealed that maybe, if we're really, really good and eat all our vegetables, a downloadable version of will be coming to the Playstation Network. Maybe.
for Sony. But, I don't know yet - Sony only recently launched their downloadable service in Japan, so maybe we need to wait a while before releasing a title with that kind of appeal.
Vib Ribbon is a music rhythm game that stars a bunny named Vibri moving along a track filled with simple obstacles that popped up in time to the music. Hit the right button at the right time, and Vibri keeps on' truckin'.
Sure, sure you've heard it all before right? But wait! Vib Ribbon could form its musical track from any CD you popped into your Playstation.
It never made it Stateside, so a downloadable version would be many different kinds of awesome.
Being able to download TV shows and movies from the Xbox Live Marketplace is pretty darn cool..
.for us Americans, that is. Due to contracts, agreements, and restrictions, the rest of the world is shut out of that particular aspect of the Marketplace, so what many ticked off Live subscribers have done is create fake accounts that list the United States as their country of origin.
That's all going to come to an end with the Spring update, says Microsoft. If you have a legit account, you'll barely notice a change, but if you've tried to beat the system so that you could download that season of Dog the Bounty Hunter, you'll find that it will no longer work.
I'm sure it can't be easy to negotiate broadcasting and distribution rights for so many different countries, but it really does suck that we're the only ones with access to the Video Marketplace.
I can't really blame folks for trying to find a way around the rules.
Electronic Gaming Monthly reports in their rumors section this month that Capcom will bring the Mega Man series to PlayStation Network in the form of a remake of the original, with revamped graphics.
So basically, Mega Man Powered Up?
Other games bound for PlayStation 3, according to the rumors, include Disgaea, Dead or Alive, and a new Kingdom Hearts game that isn't Kingdom Hearts 3.
There's no love lost between David Jaffe and Joystiq. Reporting the news today that Jaffe's Calling All Cars has been from its May 3 release date, the blog was :
Like a little girl struggling to keep her favorite doll out of the garage sale bin, David Jaffe is returning to the world of Calling All Cars to make some fixes and revise some of the criticisms the title received via reviews, even after announcing that the title has gone gold, according to a post he left on the NeoGAF forums.
Jaffe's response to an unnamed website, , was swift and furious.
Looks like David Jaffe's downloadable PlayStation Network game Calling All Cars won't make it out this week as originally promised.
Sony had when it sent out early review copies, but stopped short of making an official announcement.
For his part, Jaffe confirmed the release date on his blog.
But now, editor of Jim Cordeira says CAC isn't happening this week, which Jaffe seemed to confirm when he entered a NeoGAF thread to apologize for a few bugs that the team is still working on.
Cordeira said that Super Rub-a-Dub would replace CAC this week, but Sony has yet to confirm this.
I'm trying to contact Sony and figure out what's up with the schedule, and if CAC is delayed after all.
A new Gears of War map pack, containing four new multiplayer maps, will be available for 800 points this Thursday. If you're particularly patient, however, you could always just wait until September 3rd, when they'll be available for free.
Bullet Marsh: In this Kryll-infested swamp, an old generator still powers the area lights. A few stray bullets could easily knock out the generator, leaving combatants to fend for themselves against the Kryll.

Subway: Timgad's Central Subway station used to serve as a central hub for commuters.
Now the tunnels are crawling with Locust.
A map with Kryll? Thanks, I'll pass.
That was a particularly aggravating part of the game. Quick question: how many of you out there are still playing Gears? Puzzle Quest, the game that's so addictive it has its own wing in the Betty Ford Clinic, is coming to Xbox Live Arcade.
D3Publisher of America has decided to bring three games to the Arcade, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warloards being but one, albeit the one most likely to keep me from going to sleep at night. Just five more minute..
.I can quit anytime I want to!
The other two games are Mad Tracks, inspired by pull-back-and-go toy cars (those are great for freaking out the cat), and RocketBowl, a bowling game.
Bowling on Live? Oh, yes, and thank you. Yoji Takenaka, executive VP and CEO of D3 said:
What ties all of D3PA’s titles together are not genre or size of game or developer, but an unsurpassable element of fun.We the highest enjoyment factors.
If you want your Wii shooters to be even more realistic, perhaps you'd enjoy this Wii Blaster. Scheduled for release on June 26 by a company called Core Gamer, the Blaster houses the Wiimote in a casing shaped like a shotgun.
Judging by the company's , which include plastic shells shaped like tennis rackets, this might just be a cheapo mechanical device that pulls the B trigger via pulleys and levers and springs.
Nintendo at E3, but hasn't actually said whether they'll release it or what. Don't be fooled into thinking this is it.
