There has been much noise regarding the generation of the The Simpsons movie until it was actually confirmed two years ago by Nancy Cartwright, voice actress popularly known for providing the voice of Bart Simpson, as well as other character on the series.
Now, more details have been released regarding the upcoming movie, including several appetizer trailers that can be viewed online. In a more controversial note, several cities have now been vying for The Simpsons rsquo; movie launch.
In an attempt to determine where the premier of The Simpsons: The Movie will be held, creator Matt Groening created a contest that would allow the 16 different cities to compete for the honor of hosting the said film.
In turn, city officials have acknowledged the invitation to partake in such an event. The contest would entail entries from different cities, which shows a short film about their community rsquo;s positive features and its connection to The Simpsons. After reviewing and assessing the film entries, Fox will choose and decide on a winner.
Springfield Mayor Sid Leiken expressed his sentiments regarding the friendly competition. He said, ldquo;There's plenty of serious issues to talk about, but this is something that we might as well try to have a little fun with.
