If you're like me, you are dying in anticipation for next record.

News has been swirling lately about the album, which will hopefully see the light of day this summer. While you wait though, we found this GEM from back in 2004 floating around. Kelly graced the stage with a reunited En Vogue for a Lifetime network special and It may very well be the best thing EVER!

(Ok so maybe it's just really cool, but the enthusiasm is there.) Does it rock you as hard as it rocked me?

What's the secret to 'American Idol' success?

The singer tells AOL Music that song selection is highly important. "When I was in competition I always thought, 'Okay, you've gotta get a big powerful song to show people you can sing.' And that's always the way I approached 'Idol.

'"
Now that McPhee has catapaulted from 'Idol' to her own career though, she's able to stretch out a bit.

"This is my record and I can do really whatever I want," she says. And she's particularly excited about some of the album's more adventurous numbers. "I'm excited about up-tempo songs that are kind of girly, just fun.

Like 'Not Ur Girl' and 'Love Story' -- definitely 'Open Toes,' especially when the breakdown comes at the very end. I'm telling you, just to listen to that vamp."
She's hoping people appreciate getting to know all sides of her musical persona.

"I hope people take from this record a little bit more of a sense of who I am," she says. "I think people will really walk away going, 'Oh, this is the Katharine that we didn't get to see on 'Idol.'" As for what she takes from her debut?

"I walk away with just a sense of accomplishment, really happy with what I did.
We've always had the feeling that we could count on to come up with the correct answer if we needed someone to quickly compute 378 times 944 without counting on their fingers. Well, it turns out that the producers of the medical drama also saw a little bit of in the rocker -- and decided to cast him as a musical savant in an episode that's slated to hit the air in March.

While we're unsure if Matthews is prone to rearranging his entire life to commune with the way character did for Judge Wapner on the big screen, we'd imagine he'd be pretty excited to spend some time on a set festooned with women in nurse's uniforms -- not to mention canisters of nitrous oxide.

Just to prove that the show isn't engaging in typecasting, producers have replaced Matthews' guitar with a piano and spun a storyline that would allow his caregivers to sign off on a surgery that would offer him a normal life -- with the off-chance that it might take away his musicality. Now that's a situation where we'd like to see if life really could imitate art!
We're talking, of course, about reality -- which will intrude into the form of cameras from Million Dollar Listing: Hollywood, a Bravo series that provides the super-rich an alternative to taping "house for sale" ads on supermarket bulletin boards.

Jacko will supposedly get the place -- which is said to be in a state of serious disrepair, particularly around the all-important llama enclosures -- into (sequined) white-glove condition in time for the filming.
He'll have to do a little sprucing up in order to fetch the full $50 million that the says he's asking for the pad -- which, it's probably safe to assume, includes a number of places for a new owner to powder their nose (or what's left of it).
finalist has a treat for the eyes and ears come Jan 30.

Note to : Checkmate.
Besides the track 'Modern Whomp,' Hicks is especially excited to perform certain cuts live, such as 'Runaround.' "It's going to be good," he said.

"The tune that I was given that was written for is going to be fun to play live."
As for the sound of the album, Hicks, who worked with Matt Serletic, said, "It's Taylor Hicks through and through."
The next single from chart-topping 'Release Therapy' album is 'Runaway Love,' featuring At the VW Tiguan party in L.

A. recently, where he performed, the multi-media star told AOL Music he's really proud of the video for the track.
"It's incredible, man. It's really trying to get everybody aware of how many runaways there are," he says.

"You really just got to see it. It's definitely Grammy material."
Luda is staying very much in demand these days, with a scheduled appearance at Dick Clark's annual New Year's Eve telecast and his new movie with 'Fred Clause,' opening next year.

He presumably got a crash course in time management with his recent stint hosting
"It was intense, because I was hosting and performing," he says. "I was almost in every skit. An hour and a half went by really, really fast.

"
While we supposedly share a language with the folks over in England, a number of things inevitably get lost in translation -- like the definition of 'Street Cred." (the very model of the modern English syrup-monger) has come to the conclusion that he can pursue that elusive quality by hitting the street himself -- 'Sesame Street,' that is.
Blunt rolled onto the Street for a taping Wednesday at which he serenaded his fellow Muppets with a rendition of 'You're Beautiful.

' To battle his "square" tag, the crooner changed the lyrics to the tune to make it an ode to the majesty of the triangle. We're not sure that an encore is in the cards, but if it is, we're hoping Jimmy gets the notion to morph 'No Bravery' into a cautionary tale about not crossing the street without mom and dad around.
Her debut album has only been in stores for a few weeks, but it looks like may soon add another career to her resume.

The country star and former contestant is in talks with Fox for her own sitcom.
"As pitched, she will play a Southern small-town girl, a character based on herself, who discovers that her biological father is the state's governor," says her publicist, Wes Vause. "In Kellie's style, she works her way into his life, and their father-and-daughter relationship ends up helping his political career."
Vause insists the pilot is in very early stages of development and if all goes well, taping will begin next year.

When and if that happens, Pickler will be in familiar company: One of the show's executive producers is 'Idol' creator Simon Fuller. The show's writers include Chris Peterson and Bryan Moore from
You've probably seen by now. When Hill lost out to Underwood for Female Vocalist of the Year, she threw her arms in the air, mouthed "What?

" into the cameras and then walked away. The reaction spawned a media frenzy, with most post-CMA news coverage focusing on whether that was Hill's true reaction or just a joke gone awry.
The very next day, Hill issued a statement saying, "The idea that I would act disrespectful towards a fellow musician is unimaginable to me.

For this to become a focus of attention given the talent gathered is utterly ridiculous. Carrie is a talented and deserving Female Vocalist of the Year."
The newly-crowned Female Vocalist of the Year certainly believes in Hill's sincerity.

"If I were sitting at home, I totally would have got the joke," she says. "She told me that night and wanted to set it straight right then and there and let me know that she was just kidding and it was just a joke gone bad . .

. and she was really sorry for doing anything that might have seemed inappropriate."
In fact, the only thing that angered Underwood was the backlash against Hill.

"Faith is such a sweet person that she shouldn't get dumped on for that," she says.
Apparently the formula for a successful marriage doesn't include reality show participants and/or a couple of mutual celebrity. Surprised we're not to learn that has filed for divorce from , as exclusively reported by
The former babe, who married the Detroit rocker in July -- well, the first time, anyway -- cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. Unlike and , the couple did not have a prenup.

Meanwhile, Anderson, who suffered a miscarriage just weeks ago, has hired hotshot lawyer Neal Hersh to represent her.
The blonde vixen was previously married to drummer (and one-time reality star) See? Don't say we didn't warn you.

Even the stars of are impressed by the music on the hit ABC show, actor Justin Chambers, who plays Alex Karev, tells AOL Music. "We're loving what we're doing with the music. It's a big part of the show.

"
Chambers, who was on hand at the American Music Awards with co-stars and Kate Walsh to introduce one of the show's musical success stories, , still has some suggestions.

"It'd be nice to throw a little in there," he says.
His other choice? Aussie rockers That would make for one wild surgery.

winner , who took on the nickname "Gray Charles" during his 'Idol' tenure, was given special permission to use facility for one track on his upcoming album.
"The people at Ray Charles, they said that Ray would have loved the hell out of me, so they're going to let me record a song in there," he said.
That hasn't been the only highlight of the last few weeks in Hicks' life. He also crossed paths with a couple of his heroes.

"I met ," Hicks said. "It was really cool to meet him. And I met my favorite baseball player, Bernie Williams from the New York Yankees.

I'm just as star-struck as the average person would be. I respect them for what they do and [am a] fan just like everybody else is." Takes one to know one, yeah?

finalist knows how lucky she is. "I haven't even put out a record yet and I feel like I'm getting schooled by the best of the best," McPhee told AOL Music while attending Songs of Hope last month, a benefit night in L.A.

featuring performances by and
For McPhee, who earlier in the week performed at the Carousel of Hope ball, it's all part of her education.

"It's a great honor for me to perform on the same show as and watch Stevie Wonder up close and personal," she said, adding that music mogul has been a great mentor.
Whatever happens down the line, it's already been a good experience, she says: "Who knows what the future will be for me exactly, but at least I can say I had some good teachers.
