The first round of judges on Fox's summer reality series "On the Lot" includes a "Star Wars" star and a trio of blockbuster directors.
Fox announced Wednesday that actress/author Carrie Fisher, and directors Brett Ratner, Garry Marshall and Jon Avnet will be the judges for the opening audition episodes of "On the Lot."
Those initial installments of the Mark Burnett/Steven Spielberg-produced filmmaking series will air May 22 and 24 at 9 p.
m. In those episodes, the Top 50 applicants have been culled from the show's 12,000 video submissions. They come to Los Angeles for the obligatory Hollywood Boot Camp.
Each contestant will take part in both a 24-hour Short challenge (shoot and edit a short film in one day), as well as a "one-page, one-hour" challenge, which is pretty self-explanatory. The judges will then narrow the field down to the Top 18, who will participate in the season's first Film Premiere episode, airing May 28.
