Blogging for travel insurance!

This has been the longest break in my blogging schedule since I started last month, but here goes – a small recap of what went on during the weekend. Came to work on Saturday morning, it was one of those mornings when there just wasn’t enough to do.

By about mid-day it was quiet, and a couple of colleagues came p and we started talking about life, depression, poetry and all kinds of quasi-philosophical things. I think we were all a little surprised by each other’s talents. Never thought that the three of us would ever go out for an evening together, but it looks like it might actually happen now.

Maybe some time next week or something.

It might also bee a good idea to start putting up some of their poetry and work. I’ll ask and see what can be done.

The rest of Saturday I spent more or less on the internet, with Isabelle, catching up on the week and things. In the evening, I got up to go to the gym, but ultimately decided not to, and stayed online with Isabelle instead. It wasn’t a particularly good evening, we had a bit of an online row about our respective systems of working, but nothing that a good night’s sleep didn’t work out.

Also spoke to Elaine, the editor of The Express about an appointment to see her on Sunday about taking over some of her editing work.

I was awoken on Sunday morning at about 10 o’clock by Stuart, calling to confirm our appointment with Elaine that evening, and dinner afterwards. Elaine’s apartment was like out of a 1950s British TV show.

Stepping into the living room was like stepping into another era, another time. But anyway, we had a little chat about various things that could be improved with the newsletter, and I’m going to attend the association AGM tonight, which ought to be interesting.

Had dinner with Stuart and Helen, and discovered that Carl Asaba, a footballer for Millwall FC is their next door neighbour.

He has a lovely black Range Rover Vogue. I of course didn’t know who the hell Asaba was so I asked David this morning, and he knew of course. He’s reasonably famous it seems.

Dinner was nice and I had a great time talking to Stuart – he’s very un-English, and very, very well read. And it was good to meet someone who’s not ultra-diplomatic, and who’s not mincing words all the time. Caught me off-guard a little at first, but it was fine thereafter.

Helen and Stuart went through a lot of effort for dinner last night, and I can’t wait to return the favour when Isabelle gets here.

Stuart lent me his “Taxi 2” DVD which I watched for a while last night. He was right, it’s better than Taxi 1.

I can hardly wait to get my hands on Taxi 3 now!! I might have the opportunity to watch the rest of it later tonight.

There’s probably only about 45 minutes of it left. Have to check this morning about cheap DVDs on eBay. Now why did I never think of that?

!?!

?!?

The blog is doing well, and is being indexed more and more frequently. However, I still don’t have many pages with the words F****** or C******* or Travel Insurance in them, so it’s still not doing well for those search terms. I wonder though if it’d be possible to get my blog up there on the search engine result pages for any travel insurance related terms – or for that matter even F********* or C******* related search terms.

It’s turning into quite an interesting task, updating this blog and checking if Google has visited it or not!!!

The blog was last indexed on the 13th of November, which is really cool considering I updated it with the new description tags etc. on the 12th!

That’s going to be it for now – have to get back to work now, check out what kind of people are linking back to C******* and F*********.

Might be able to get another post in later on in the day.

The weather has taken a chilly turn, and I’ve had to take out my thick heavy jacket after god knows how long. It’s been a long stretch of good weather, and the frost was bound to set in sooner or later.

More pictures and photos in a later post.

This is a paragraph of text that could go in the sidebar.
