About half the time, you don't have to feed the meter after 6, but when there's a game here, or an event at the convention center, you pay until 10pm. Many don't like it. Mayor Alan Autry called the meeting to address the parking problems that seem to be getting worse, as downtown gets better.

One of those who have an idea of how to get there is city council member Mike Dages. Dages thinks the night meters are a big source of people's frustration, and is pushing for a uniform system. He wants meters to be free after six every night and on the weekends.
