Right now the property is tied up in court. The city couldn't buy any parcels until Running Horse goes through the foreclosure process. Billionaire Donald Trump once offered $40 million to buy Running Horse.
At this point Mayor Autry thinks the city could step in and buy the property and then sell it to Trump. Michael Cohen of the Trump Organization calls Autry's plan the best method to assemble the properties in a timely manner. But Mayor Autry must present his plan to the city council next Tuesday in closed session to see if it is a workable solution.
