By JOHN M. HOOBER III, Staff LANCASTER, Pa. - Lancaster police found a 19-year-old man with bullet wounds when they responded to a shots fired call shortly before midnight Tuesday on East Walnut Street, near North Franklin Street.

The man had been shot in the buttocks and left leg, Lt. James Smith said. Police found him inside a house in the 600 block of East Walnut Street, and an ambulance took him to a local hospital for treatment.

The victim s wounds are not life threatening, Smith said. Investigators are withholding his name, but said he lives in the city. Smith said the man was uncooperative when police questioned him about what happened.

He s not telling us anything. He s pretty much pleading the Fifth as far as who did it and why, the lieutenant said. Police found several shell casings, but they don t know if the shots were fired from inside or outside the home.

Police received the call at about 11:50 p.m. We got a report of shots fired, and we found him inside the house.

Whether he was in there when the shots were fired, we don t know, for he is not being cooperative, said Smith. CONTACT US: jhoober@LNPnews.
