This was a flash mob, one in a growing trend across college campuses and other UC s. | Saturday April 7 was Football Fan Appreciation Day. The event took place on Spaulding Field to honor football fans and generate excitement for the following season. About twenty-five hundred to three thousand people attended. Free tee shirts, hats, and crocs were distributed. Activities included face painting, football and basketball toss, name the Bruin tune, and a catch-to-win contest. At 11:00 AM, football practice was open to public viewing.
